Apply for the baby's Dependant's Pass before the Special Pass runs out
Once the passport exists, your employer applies to the Ministry of Manpower for a Dependant's Pass for the baby through myMOM, in the same way as for a spouse. Do it within 6 weeks of the birth: any delay beyond 42 days from your child's birth is an offence under the Immigration Act. Checked against mom.gov.sg on 22 September 2026.

What else to know
You qualify as the sponsor if you hold an Employment Pass or S Pass and earn a minimum fixed monthly salary of S$6,000 — one figure for both passes, based on your own salary and not on household income. If you are a Singapore permanent resident the Dependant's Pass route does not apply; you sponsor the child for PR with ICA instead. Check ICA before the birth.
