What you do not pay for
From the declaration of pregnancy the compulsory prenatal examinations, the three ultrasounds, the early prenatal interview and the birth-preparation sessions are covered at 100%, with nothing to pay up front. From the first day of the sixth month until twelve days after the birth, medical costs are covered at 100%. A breast pump can be hired from a pharmacy on prescription. Scans or extras you book yourself, you pay for.
